Apple Pork Chops
Apple Pork Chops is a delicious, quick and easy (35 minute) recipe. If you’re tired of just regular skillet cooked chops, then this is for you. Ingredients: Pork loin chops, onion, apples, chicken broth, black pepper and cinnamon. Non-Stick cooking spray
4 lean, bone-in pork loin chops (1 lb)
1 medium-size onion
1-1/4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
3 medium-size apples
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1. Chop onion. Core and chop apples. Set aside
2. Coat a large skillet with cooking spray. Brown pork chops and onion over medium heat about 3 minutes per side.
3. In a small bowl, combine chicken broth and pepper. Add to skillet. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Skim off any fat.
4. Add apple slices and cinnamon to skillet, cover. Simmer for additional 15 minutes. Transfer to platter and serve hot.
Yield: 4 servings.
