Boston Iced Tea
Boston Iced Tea is a delicious, easy and quick (35) minute recipe for large holiday and party crowds. Summary: This is made with common ingredients to make it very simple and takes only (15) minutes to cook. Frozen cranberry juice concentrate, tea bags and sweetener are boiled, then chilled and served garnished with orange slices. This is also a very healthy, low calories, low fat, low saturated fat, low cholesterol, low sodium, low carbohydrates, low sugars, heart-healthy, diabetic-friendly and Weight Watchers (2 PointsPlus), (3 SmartPoints) recipe. Cooking Time: 15 Minutes.
Total Time: 35 Minutes + chilling time.
1 gallon water
1/2 cup granulated no-calorie sweetener
15 tea bags
1 (12 oz) can frozen cranberry juice concentrate
8 slices of unpeeled fresh oranges, sliced thinly and halved
1. Put the water into a large pot over high heat. Heat to a boil. Turn off heat and stir in the sweetener until dissolved.
2. Add in tea bags and steep until desired strength is acquired.
3. Stir in cranberry juice concentrate. Chill well before serving.
4. Serve over ice and garnish with an orange slice on rim of each glass.
Yield: 16 Servings.
Serving Size: 1 (8 oz) glass of tea + 1/2 orange slice per serving.
