Chewy Fudge Brownies

Chewy Fudge Brownies is an easy and delicious recipe for a healthier version of chewy brownies. Ingredients include: Unsweetened cocoa, low-fat cream cheese and 1% milk to keep it light but still rich-tasting and chewy. (1/2 stick) + 2 tbsp reduced-calorie
stick margarine, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 large egg white
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
Non-stick cooking spray
1 (8 oz) bar 1/3-less-fat cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated no-calorie sweetener
3 tbsp 1% milk


1. Preheat oven to 350° F.

2. sugar and margarine with a mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg, egg white, and vanilla; beat well. Gradually add in flour and cocoa, beating well. Pour into an 8″ square pan coated with cooking spray.

3. Beat cream cheese and sweetener with a mixer at high speed until smooth. Add in the milk; beat well. Pour cream cheese mixture over chocolate mixture; swirl together using the tip of a knife to create a marbled effect.

4. Place in oven and bake for 30 minutes. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Cut into 16 equal sized squares.

YIELD: 16 servings.
