Crab Rangoon Appetizers
Crab Rangoon Appetizers is an easy, quick and delicious take on the old classic with this healthier version. It is a low calories, low fat, low cholesterol, low sugars, low carbohydrates, low sodium, Weight Watchers (2 PointsPlus), (2 SmartPoints), diabetic-friendly and heart-healthy recipe. Ingredients include: Canned crabmeat, fat-free cream cheese, green onions, and reduced fat mayonnaise for a creamy mixture baked in won ton wrappers. Total Time start to finish is only (40) minutes. Makes: (12) servings and would work well for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday crowds. Crab Rangoon Appetizers will be loved by all of your family, friends and guests.
Prep Time: 20 Minutes.
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes.
Non-Stick cooking spray
1 (6 oz) can crabmeat, drained, flaked
1 (4 oz) or (1/2 of an 8-oz bar) Neufchatel cheese, softened
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1/4 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
12 won ton wrappers
1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Combine together the first 4 ingredients.
3. Place 1 won ton wrapper in each of 12 muffin pan cups sprayed with cooking spray, extending edges of wrapper over rim of cup. Fill with crab mixture.
4. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until edges of cups are golden brown and filling is heated through.
For a Crispier Rangoon:
Bake won ton wrappers in muffin cups in (350° F.) oven 5 to 7 minutes or until lightly browned. Fill with crabmeat mixture and bake 6 to 8 minutes or until filling is heated through.
YIELD: 12 servings.
