Crockpot Barbecue-Beef

Crockpot Barbecue-Beef is a Carolina-style recipe for a delicious and tangy BBQ beef which takes (20) minutes to prepare and (8) hours to cook. Summary: Beef sirloin steak or roast is covered with a vinegar and tomato sauce barbecue sauce. It is well-seasoned with Black pepper, salt, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. (1 lb) beef sirloin, (viisible fat removed)
1 (15 oz) can no-salt tomato sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 Tbsp granulated no-calorie sweetener
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 small white onion, finely diced
Serve on hamburger buns if desired, (optional)


1. In a slow cooker, combine together the tomato sauce, vinegar, sweetener, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, cayenne and onion. Stir gently.

2. Add in the meat, making sure it is submerged in the barbecue sauce mixture.

3. Cook on LOW for 8 hours. Slice and serve with a drizzle of the sauce.

Yield: 4 Servings.
