Grilled Bread

Grilled Bread is an easy, quick and delicious recipe that takes only (10) minutes to prepare and (2-4) minutes on the grill. This is similar to garlic toast but contains no garlic. There are only (3) ingredients in this recipe which makes it very simple. Ingredients: French bread, olive oil, fresh parsley and/or chives. Pair it up with your favorite B.B.Q. or grilled entree as a delicious side. This is also a healthy, low calories, low fat, low saturated fat, low cholesterol, low sodium, low carbohydrates, low sugars, heart-healthy, diabetic-friendly and Weight Watchers (3 SmartPoints), (3 PointsPlus) recipe. This is a quick, easy, delicious and healthy side recipe. It is best used for holidays and large gatherings. Makes: (16) servings. 1 (8 oz) loaf baguette-style French bread
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp snipped fresh parsley and/or chives


1. Preheat grill to medium.

2. Cut bread on bias into 16 slices. In a small bowl, stir together oil and parsley or chives. Brush one side of each bread slice with the oil mixture.

3. Place bread slices on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes or until grill marks appear, turning once.

Yield: 8 servings.
Serving Size: 1 slice per serving.
