Mixed Berry Dessert

Mixed Berry Dessert is an easy and delicious recipe for the spring and summer seasons. Ingredients include: Fresh strawwberries, blackberries and blueberries with a whipped cream topping. It takes about (20) minutes to prepare and (30) minutes to chill. This is so easy to make for a delicious and refreshing dessert or treat for the warm weather. This is also a healthy, low calories, low fat, low cholesterol, low sodium, low carbohydrates, low sugars, heart-healthy, diabetic-friendly and Weight Watchers (3 PointsPlus), (6 SmartPoints) recipe. INGREDIENTS:

2 cups fresh strawberries, rinsed, stemmed, halved
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup fresh blackberries
1/4 cup + 1 Tbsp orange juice, divided
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp whipping cream, whipped
1 tsp orange zest
2 Tbsp powdered sugar
Additional orange zest, optional
Fresh mint, optional

DIRECTIONS:

1. Combine strawberries, blueberries, blackberries,1/4 cup orange juice and sugar in a bowl. Cover and chill 30 minutes.

2. In a medium-size bowl, fold together the whipped cream, orange zest, 1 tablespoon orange juice and the powdered sugar.

3. Spoon berry mixture into each of 4 glass bowls; top each with 1 tablespoon whipped topping mixture per bowl. Garnish with additional orange zest and fresh mint, if desired.

Yield: 4 servings.
