Tuna-Peach Salsa-Steaks

Tuna-Peach Salsa-Steaks is a delicious, easy, quick and spicy recipe for your outdoor grilling rotation. It takes only (4-5) minutes on the grill and (30) minutes to prepare. The salsa is the best part of this recipe. Salsa Ingredients: Fresh peaches, tomatoes, red onions and chopped jalapeno pepper. The recipe also includes a spicy, made from scratch basting sauce. Prep Time: 30 Minutes.
Cooking Time: 4-5 Minutes.


4 (8 oz each) yellowfin tuna steaks, about 3/4″ thick
3/4 tsp lime zest
2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
2 Tbsp snipped fresh cilantro
2 Tbsp finely chopped green onion
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp kosher sea salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
3/4 lb fresh peaches, chopped (about 2 cups)
2 Roma tomatoes, seeded, chopped (about 1 cup)
1/2 cup chopped orange bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped red onion
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded, finely chopped


1. Rinse fish; pat dry with paper towels. Set aside. In a small bowl, combine lime zest, lime juice, cilantro, green onion, olive oil, salt and cayenne pepper; set aside.

2. In a medium-size bowl, combine peaches, tomatoes, bell pepper, red onion and jalapeno; stir in half of cilantro mixture. Cover and chill until serving time.

3. Prepare a charcoal or gas grill by oiling the  grill grate and set for direct grilling. Preheat to medium-high heat. Grill tuna for 3 to 4 minutes or until desired doneness, turning once and brushing with remaining cilantro mixture halfway through grilling. Serve tuna immediately with the salsa.

Yield: 4 Servings.
